The board supports up to 4 modules, and each module represents an independent test and simulation device. Most modules are based on existing Excalibur products such as the 1553 Px family, the 1553 MCH family and the ARINC429 RxTx.
Additional modules are being added constantly. The EXC-4000 family represents a breakthrough in flexibility for avionics test equipment permitting the simulation of an entire test suite from a single board. It is, for example, possible to control 20 ARINC-429 channels, a 1553 channel and discrete I/O from a single EXC-4000PCI board. Most modules are dual port RAM processor based and offer a simple and powerful interface to the card.
The EXC-4000cPCI is supplied with C drivers, including source code. Mating connector provided for I/O connection.
Please see multi protocol 4000 modules for additional information on protocols that can be added to this card.

M4K825CAN
Each M4K825CAN module contains up to ten channels. In receive mode, the module stores all or selected messages with status and Time Tag information appended to each message. In transmit mode, the module operates via a transmit Bandwidth Frame which allows scheduling of data transmissions and reduces the need for host computer intervention.
